The number of successful women assuming prominent roles in the Greek business world is rapidly on the rise. 

The Union of Greek Shipowners boasts a female president, Melina Travlos, a development of significant importance not only domestically but also globally, given that a quarter of the world's commercial fleet is controlled by Greek interests.

The extended Conference and Seminars program of this June's Posidonia 2024, including forums such as the Tradewinds Shipowners Forum and the HELMEPA Conference, which attract the most senior shipowners from around the globe, will address the most critical issues in the industry.

With the deadline for compliance with the new sulfur regulations in shipping fast approaching, the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) is organizing its "2020 Is Closer Than We Think: Scrubbers, Fuels and BWT" conference for June 6, in the context of the Posidonia 2018 shipping exhibition.
