Auto industry’s production rises 19 percent in February
The Turkish auto industry produced more than 133,000 vehicles in February, marking a strong 19.2 percent increase from a year ago, after output declined by 3 percent in the previous month.
Hyundai and LG announce $4.3 billion plant in Georgia
Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution have announced they will build a $4.3 billion electric battery plant as part of Hyundai's new electric vehicle assembly plant in southeast Georgia.
The companies will split the investment, starting production as soon as late 2025.
European car sales slump 14% in first half
EU auto sales slumped by 14 percent in the first half of this year, data showed on July 15, as supply shortages continued to plague manufacturers.
With the lack of computer chips still hobbling production, new auto sales slumped to 4.6 million in the European Union, data from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association showed.

Car Sales in Europe Fell by 14%
EU car sales fell 14% in the first half of this year as manufacturers continue to experience supply shortages, AFP reported.
As chip shortages still hamper production, sales of new cars in the European Union fell to 4.6 million, data from the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed.

Turkish auto industry makes nearly 110,000 vehicles in October
Automakers in Turkey produced 108,078 vehicles in October, including automobiles and commercial vehicles, according to a sectoral report released on Nov. 15.
The figure decreased by 28 percent year-on-year last month, a report from the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) showed.
Turkey’s car, LCV market expands 13.1 percent
The sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey improved 13.1 percent year on year in the first three quarters, an industrial group report showed on Oct. 4.
As many as 558,145 vehicles were sold across Turkey in the January-September period this year, the Automotive Distributors' Association (ODD) said in a statement.

Hyundai Motor ranked 7th in the '2021 US Automotive Brand Loyalty Study' conducted by US market research firm J.D. Power, up a notch from last year. Kia maintained its ranking 6th.
Bulgaria: Bad Road Accident, 3 Dead
A total of three victims died after the accident on the highway "Trakia" at 356 km in the direction of Sofia-Burgas, said the press center of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in the seaside town.
The incident happened around 20.30 this evening after the highway exit Balgarovo.

Automakers in Turkey produced 106,176 vehicles - including automobiles and commercial vehicles - this January, according to a sectoral report on Feb. 14.
Turkey's auto production fell 3 percent on a yearly basis, said the Automotive Manufacturers Association.
