Authorities ordered a mass evacuation of people on Nov. 27 from an expanded danger zone around an erupting volcano on Bali that has forced the Indonesian island’s international airport to close, stranding tens of thousands of travelers.

Three people, Chinese students, have been injured.

According to the police, it is not an accident, as it appears that the driver slammed the car intentionally on the people.

Sources from the hospital report that the three injured students are in a very serious condition.

The 28-year-old driver has been arrested.

A suspected radical Islamist was arrested today after injuring two policemen with a knife in front of the Tunisian parliament building, Interior Ministry said on Monday, reported Reuters.

Authorities have raised alert levels for a volcano on the Indonesian resort island of Bali after hundreds of small tremors stoked fears it could erupt for the first time in more than 50 years.

Mount Agung, about 75 kilometres from the tourist hub of Kuta, has been rumbling since August and officials have banned people from venturing within 7.5 kilometres of its summit.

At least one person is injured after a car crashed into two bus shelters in the French city of Marseille. According to the French News Agency, the injured person has died. It is unclear whether it was an accident or an attack. French police have told the public to avoid the area. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on the spot.

Indonesia celebrated its 72nd Independence Day on Thursday with a flag hoisting ceremony and a cultural parade in capital Jakarta, Anadolu Agency reported. 

President Joko Widodo in traditional clothes led the flag-raising ceremony at the presidential palace.

It was attended by a large number of state officials, clerics, tribesmen and diplomats.
