PRAGUE -- Ivana Spanovic broke her previous national record and won the gold medal in the women's long jump final at the European Athletics Indoor Championships (EAIC).
Spanovic jumped 6.98 meters.

PRAGUE - Serbia's Ivana Spanovic broke her own previous national record and won the gold medal in the women's long jump final at the Prague 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships (EAIC) with a jump of 6.98m.
Spanovic, holder of the previous record of 6.92m, set in Istanbul last year, established the new national record on her third attempt.
Spanovic secures spot in final after first attempt
PRAGUE - Serbia's Ivana Spanovic on Friday reached the women's long jump final at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Prague.
Already in the first attempt, Spanovic produced a jump measuring 6.76m - 11 cm longer than the qualification standard - and will compete in Saturday's final.

NOVI SAD - Serbia's best track-and-field athlete Ivana Spanovic won the national indoor long jump gold in Novi Sad on Saturday, with a leap of 6.78 meters, the third-longest jump in the world this season.
Spanovic also competed in the 60 meter dash and recorded a time of 7.35 seconds, just 0.04 seconds slower than her personal best and the Serbian record of 7.31.

Spanovic wins long jump silver at European Championships
ZURICH - Serbian long jumper Ivana Spanovic won the silver medal at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich late Wednesday with a 6.81 m leap.
It is the first medal for the Serbian team at this year's European championships.
Spanovic's jump is seven centimetres short of her personal best, 6.88 m, which is also the national record.

ISTANBUL - Serbia's athlete Ivana Spanovic managed to beat the national record in long jump and set the score at 6.92 metres at the Balkan Indoor Championships in Istanbul.
Spanovic won the gold as she scored the second best result in the world this year.
