Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsostkis insists that his pledge to enforce the law "everywhere" is being implemented, citing the crackdown on sports hooliganism, juvenile delinquency and overall crime.

Greece's Health Ministry is preparing a program aimed at developing a model for the prevention and treatment of juvenile delinquency, Stelios Stylianidis, psychiatrist-psychoanalyst and professor emeritus of social psychiatry at Athens' Panteion University, told Kathimerini. 

New Minister of Citizen Protection Notis Mitarakis vowed to "deal with phenomena of racist violence and protect vulnerable social groups," during the handover ceremony on Tuesday from the acting minister Charalambos Lalousis.

Citizens' Protection Minister Takis Theodorikakos has described the rise in teen violence as a major scourge, while expressing grave concern over increasing cases of domestic violence.

A survey of the Research Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology suggests that 60% of the children in Bulgaria do not feel safe at school.

The figures were released at a conference against violence in educational institutions by the head of the Juvenile Crime Department at the Interior Ministry.
