Lamda gets nod for IBC development
The ministries of Finance and Environment have given their nod for the commercial utilization of the International Broadcasting Center, built for use during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in Maroussi. The ministries have approved the activities that feature in Lamda Development's investment plan and the environmental terms, opening the way for the utilization of the entire property.

Athens park blaze taxes firefighters
More than 20 firemen, aided by a water-dropping airplane and two helicopters, put out a blaze in a park in a residential part of northern Athens Friday afternoon. The fire is believed to have started in dry undergrowth in Syngrou Park near Kifissias Avenue in Maroussi. It did not threaten homes and businesses. [ANA-MPA]

Blaze in Athens suburb park under control, fireman lightly injured
A fire that broke out in a park in the middle of a residential part of northern Athens on Friday afternoon was mostly doused after a few hours by 25 firemen, a water-dumping airplane and two helicopters.
One fireman was lightly injured and was transferred to a hospital as a precaution.

Greece sells stake in telecoms operator OTE to Deutsche Telekom
Greece concluded on Wednesday the sale of a 5 percent stake in its biggest telecoms operator OTE to Germany's Deutsche Telekom for 284 million euros, ($329.50 million) the privatizations agency said.
The sale was agreed under Greece's third international bailout.
