Russia to respond "asymmetrically" to new sanctions
MOSCOW -- In case western countries introduce another set of sanctions against Russia, in energy and financial sectors, Moscow will be forced to respond asymmetrically.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has announced Moscow could restrict the movement of foreign flights in its airspace if new sector sanctions are introduced against the country.
"If there are sanctions related to energy [or] further restrictions to our financial sector, we have to respond asymmetrically," Russian agency ITAR-TASS quoted Medvedev as saying.

In a decision that is expected to affect Greek exports, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Thursday that Moscow will ban fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, milk and dairy imports from the European Union, the United States, Australia, Canada and Norway.

Russian Gazprom does not plan to buy a 1/4 share in Austrian oil and gas company OMV, Gazprom Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said Friday.
Medvedev thus refuted earlier claims that the state-owned energy concern was eyeing 24.9% of OMV and was in talks with the International Petroleum Investment Co (IPIC) in Abu Dhabi to purchase them.

It is the stable situation in Ukraine that the security of Europe's gas deliveries will depend on, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.

Russian PM Medvedev Visits Crimea
Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is in the Crimean capital Simferopol on Monday.
This is the highest ranking Russian official to visit the autonomous region, since the referendum on March 16, when Crimea voted to split from Ukraine and join Russia.
