The Parliament has authorised the minister of tourism to conclude concession and lease contracts for beaches. This was decided by the MPs with the adoption of amendments to the Concessions Act on second reading, Focus News Agency reports.
Concessions on sea beaches will be executed under the Black Sea Coast Planning Act.
UN to Adopt Migrant Pact Hit by Withdrawals

Akinci wants UN troop revision
In a letter to the United Nations Security Council, Turkish-Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci has called for a reassessment of the UN peacekeeping force's (UNFICYP) mandate on the island.
His letter was sent in response to Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades's request that UNFICYP's mandate be renewed for six more months until January 31, 2019.

Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman says Athens 'a refuge for coup plotters'
Turkey's Foreign Ministry has reacted angrily to news Monday that the last four Turkish servicemen of the eight who fled to Greece after the coup attempt in 2016 were released after the 18 months of maximum detention expired, with a spokesman accusing Athens of becoming "a refuge for coup plotters."

Lacroix in Cyprus for talks on peacekeeping operations
United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix was in Cyprus Wednesday for talks with government officials, local authorities and community representatives.
