Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev is due to discuss opportunities of drawing investment from Brazil and Argentian during his visit to the countries next week.

Tens of thousands of protesters rallied outside Congress late Dec. 17 against President Mauricio Macri, a mere week after the conservative politician took office as Argentina's new president.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has arrived in Argentina on a working visit and will attend the inauguration of President Mauricio Macri.

During a meeting with Macri, Nikolic expressed gratitude for Argentina's support in the UNESCO General Conference vote which rejected Pristina's bid for membership in the organisation, the Serbian president's press office said in a statement.

Argentina, in a stinging repudiation of outgoing leftist President Cristina Kirchner, elected a pro-market government president to take the helm of Latin America's third-biggest economy.
