Djedovic Handanovic: Energy Community has earmarked Serbia as energy leader

BELGRADE - Last year, the Energy Community earmarked Serbia as the energy leader primarily due to reforms it has launched in the sector as well as due to its decarbonisation process, Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said on Monday.

Dacic, Ashton discuss Belgrade-Pristina dialogue

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic received British Baroness Catherine Ashton, a former EU foreign policy and security chief, in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss issues related to the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.

Dacic and Ashton agreed continued dialogue was the only path that would lead to results, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

Brnabic meets with Hill

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic met with US Ambassador to Belgrade Christopher Hill on Wednesday.

The parties met for the first time since Brnabic assumed her present post.

Brnabic and Hill said they were confident they would continue to have a good relationship and good cooperation in the future, the parliament's press office said in a statement.

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic met with Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) Secretary General Christophe Bernasconi in Belgrade on Thursday, underscoring Serbia's commitment to respect of international law as one of the postulates of its foreign policy and noting the HCCH's significant contribution to unification of the rules of private international law.

Tabakovic: 12-pct cumulative growth confirms Serbian economy is in good shape

BELGRADE - National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic said on Wednesday the Serbian economy had registered cumulative growth of around 12 pct over the past four years despite reduced external demand and that this confirmed Serbia was in good shape economically.
