A Painting by Leonardo da Vinci with a New Record for the Most Expensive Artwork
Leonardo da Vinci's "Savior of the World" was sold for USD 450 million. This auction set a new record for the most expensive artwork in the world, BTV reports, referring to the world news agencies. So far, the first place was held by Pablo Picasso's "Le Femmes da Leger", which reached USD 179 million in 2015.
President offers citizenship to talented Afghan refugee boy
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has offered Serbian citizenship to the family of 10-year-old Farhad Nuri, refugees from Afghanistan.
Farhad, whom the media have nicknamed "Little Picasso," recently took part in a humanitarian campaign by selling his drawings in order to raise money for the medical treatment of a seven-year-old Serbian boy.
'Picasso' painting seized in Turkey's east
A painting said to be by Pablo Picasso was seized in the eastern Turkish province of Erzurum on April 6, the security forces have said, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Teams from Erzurum's Provincial Gendarmerie Command said they learned that the painting was being brought to Erzurum from the eastern province of Van in an attempt to sell it for $5 million.

Picasso painting seized in Turkey dismissed as fake
A painting seized by Turkish authorities that was reported to be a stolen Picasso is a fake, the Picasso Administration, charged with managing the artist's estate, said on Feb. 1.
The organization said the canvas is a copy of a 1940 work by the great Spanish artist, "Woman Dressing Her Hair," and the original is in the hands of New York's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
Bulgarian President Unveils Picasso Exhibition at National Art Gallery in Sofia
Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev unveiled an exhibition of works of art by Pablo Picasso at the National Art Gallery in Sofia on Thursday.
The exhibition entitled "Picasso: the eternal quest" features more than 70 original works of art, which have been specially selected from the Birthplace Museum of the Spanish painter in Malaga.

Picasso painting sets art auction record
A vibrant, multi-hued painting from Pablo Picasso has set a world record for artwork at auction, selling for $179.4 million on May 11, while a sculpture by Alberto Giacometti set a record for most expensive sculpture, at $141.3 million.
