Mock dogfight over Aegean

Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean six times on Friday, leading to a mock dogfight between Greek and Turkish aircraft.

The Turkish jets - four F-16s and a CN-235 - also violated the Athens Flight Information Region four times.

Artillery shell fired from Syria lands in Turkey's south, no casualties reported

An artillery shell fired from an area controlled by the Syrian regime landed near a rural area in the Yayladağı district of the southern province of Hatay on the afternoon of Sept. 21, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

The artillery shell hit a rural area near the Pulluyazı military post of the 3rd Border Battalion Commandship.

Twelve F-16 fighter jets, six of which were armed and two CN 235 reconnaissance violated Greek national airspace for 60 times, while another 8 infringements of the Athens FIR occurred.

Turkish air force violates Greek airspace in Aegean 37 times!

Turkish fighter jets proceeded to violate Greek national airspace over the Aegean Sea on Thursday. Two armed F-16 fighter jets and a pair of CN-235 reconnaissance aircraft violated Greek airspace a total of 37 times. The Greek air force responded by scrambling F-16 fighters and intercepting the incoming aircraft in accordance with international laws of engagement.

On the eve of the national elections, Britain was hit by another terrorist attack on June 3 when a group of attackers drove a van into pedestrians on London Bridge and then stabbed bystanders with knives. While the police stopped the assailants by shooting them, the attack left seven people dead and nearly 50 injured.

36 times, while 4 F-16 fighter jets infringed on Greek airspace over central, north and southeastern Aegean. Two of the fighter jets, which flew in in twin battle formation were armed. Greek scrambled and intercepted the incoming planes in accordance to international aviation rules of engagement.
