Japanese princess Kako visits historic judo academy in Athens
The Princess of Japan, Kako, visited the historic Panellinios judo academy in Athens on Tuesday afternoon and met with young Greek judo athletes.
Kako is on a five-day official trip to Greece, part of the "Year of Culture and Tourism between Greece and Japan."

Turkey beat Bulgaria 3-0 in Group B in the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan on Tuesday.

Florin Ionita of the Onesti Karate Sakura Sports Club won three medals - one gold and two bronze - in the European Championship organized by the World Union of Karate-do Federations (WUKF) at the Palace of Sports in Verona (Italy).
Avram won bronze in kata, the 9-10 years age category; Potarca had a similar performance in the kumite 11-12 years category.
