Nation marks 104th year of parliament on Children’s Day
Millions of Turkish citizens on April 23 participated in a large number of colorful celebrations and ceremonies to commemorate the 104th anniversary of the opening of the parliament and celebrate National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
Turkish police mark 179th anniversary of foundation
The Turkish police force has marked the 179th anniversary of its establishment, with leading chiefs of the organization holding an official ceremony at the mausoleum of modern Türkiye's founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Commencing from the beginning of the week, the country's 81 provinces are witnessing official ceremonies for the anniversary.
İnönü remembered on 50th anniversary of his passing
In a commemorative ceremony in the capital Ankara yesterday, attendees gathered to pay tribute to İsmet İnönü, one of the esteemed founders of the Turkish Republic and its second president, on the 50th anniversary of his passing.
The commemorative event took place at Anıtkabir, the grounds also housing the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
‘Grand Atatürk Run’ held in Ankara
Nearly 3,000 participants competed in the 88th "Grand Atatürk Run" on Dec. 24, organized to mark the 104th anniversary of the arrival of modern Türkiye founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the capital Ankara.
