EU lawmakers agree to cancel pre-accession funds for Turkey
Members of the European Parliament's Budget Committee on Sept. 25 agreed to cancel 70 million euros in pre-accession funds earmarked for Turkey on grounds the conditions to improve the rule of law were not met.

Official talks launched with IMF
They will discuss the results of the new macroeconomic and structural reforms, supported by the PCI-Policy Coordination Instrument, the Serbian government has announced.
The Serbian delegation is led by NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who also represents Serbia at the IMF, and includes representatives of the ministries of finance and economy.

IMF to insist on pension cuts
The International Monetary Fund on Thursday issued a flat denial to the government's request to cancel the implementation of the planned pension cut in January 2019, while Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos appeared reserved about Berlin's attitude as he responded to investors' questions in London a day after meeting his German counterpart.

Half of Moria migrant camp population is women and children, NGO says

The fact that the European Parliament stood up against the government of a European Union member-state that has exhibited serious xenophobic and autocratic tendencies and poses a threat to the values and cohesion of the European structure is positive.
