GPS signal from wireless headphones leads police to airport thief
A member of the ground staff at Athens International Airport has confessed to stealing valuables from passengers' luggage on at least 70 occasions after police tracked him down by following the GPS signal from a pair of wireless headphones which he had stolen from a tourist's suitcase.
Turkish customs officials seize over 46 kg of drugs
Turkish customs officials seized over 46 kilograms (101 pounds) of drugs in separate anti-narcotic operations at the Istanbul Airport, according to security sources on Sept. 27.
The officials found six passengers and two cargo shipments arriving in Turkey on different flights suspicious, said the sources on condition of anonymity.

British forensics experts helping to tackle the Cyprus serial killer case visited a toxic lake Tuesday where a suitcase was found with a decomposed body inside as criticism mounted of how Cypriot police initially handled the disappearances of several victims.
Suspicious suitcases found outside finance ministry
Bomb disposal experts were called in on Friday evening to examine two suitcases that were found inside a rubbish bin outside the finance ministry in central Athens.
The suspicious suitcases were discovered by a passerby at the corner of Mitropoleos and Nikis streets who alerted the ministry's guards.

The ticket for transporting large luggage with public transport in Sofia may be dropped.
Currently bags, suitcases, packets should be charged if the sum of their height, width and thickness exceeds 140 cm. A fine of 40 levs is imposed on a people whose carriage exceeds these sizes.
Suitcase Left on the Street was Detonated in Sofia
People in downtown Sofia were unpleasantly surprised by the blast this morning. Luckily the explosion was done in controlled environment by sappers. The reason for all this was an abandoned suitcase that could not be confirmed to be safe.

Abandoned Suitcase in Vazrazhdane Suare Was Empty
The suitcase abandoned in Vazrazhdane square was empty, the press office of the Interior Ministry announced.
Traffic in the area has been restored.
This is the second case today in which an area is cleared for the safety of citizens due to abandoned luggage. The first case involved an abandoned bag with stationery at "St. Kl. Ohridski" subway station.
