GPS signal from wireless headphones leads police to airport thief

A member of the ground staff at Athens International Airport has confessed to stealing valuables from passengers' luggage on at least 70 occasions after police tracked him down by following the GPS signal from a pair of wireless headphones which he had stolen from a tourist's suitcase.

Turkish customs officials seize over 46 kg of drugs

Turkish customs officials seized over 46 kilograms (101 pounds) of drugs in separate anti-narcotic operations at the Istanbul Airport, according to security sources on Sept. 27. 

The officials found six passengers and two cargo shipments arriving in Turkey on different flights suspicious, said the sources on condition of anonymity.

Large Luggage Can Now Also Ride for Free in Sofia's Public Transport

The ticket for transporting large luggage with public transport in Sofia may be dropped.

Currently bags, suitcases, packets should be charged if the sum of their height, width and thickness exceeds 140 cm. A fine of 40 levs is imposed on a people whose carriage exceeds these sizes.

Abandoned Suitcase in Vazrazhdane Suare Was Empty

The suitcase abandoned in Vazrazhdane square was empty, the press office of the Interior Ministry announced.

Traffic in the area has been restored.

This is the second case today in which an area is cleared for the safety of citizens due to abandoned luggage. The first case involved an abandoned bag with stationery at "St. Kl. Ohridski" subway station.
