Change agreed at the helm of Telekom Slovenije

Ljubljana – The supervisory board of Telekom Slovenije has reached agreement with Cvetko Sršen and Barbara Galičič Drakslar to end their terms as chairman and member of the management board, respectively, by the time new board members are appointed or by the end of October at the latest. It also dismissed for cause board member Tomaž Jontes.

Telekom shareholders to get same dividend as last year

Ljubljana – Telekom Slovenije shareholders have decided to distribute EUR 29.24 million for dividends, or EUR 4.50 gross a share, to be paid out on 2 August. The management proposed a EUR 3.5 dividend, but the shareholders backed the MDS small shareholder association’s counter-proposal at Thursday’s annual general meeting.

Telekom Slovenije reports 31% higher Jan-Sep profit

Ljubljana – Slovenia’s telecoms group Telekom Slovenije reported EUR 486.8 million in net sales revenue for the first three quarters of the year, up by 1% on the same period a year ago. Net profit was up by 31% to EUR 35.9 million, although the company said the figure would have been 36% higher when taking into account one-off events in 2020.

Türk Telekom’s subsrcipton base expands to 51.4 million

The number of Türk Telekom's subscribers rose to 51.4 million, while the company revised up its revenue, profit and investment forecasts for 2021, according to the company's third-quarter results announced on Nov. 3.

Türk Telekom, Turkey's prominent telecommunications company, has 14.1 million broadband customers as of the end of September, the statement said.

Telekom and Eles present solution for mass charging of electric vehicles

Ljubljana – Telecoms provider Telekom Slovenije and national grid operator ELES have developed a solution for mass charging of electric vehicles which enables intelligent charging and remote control of power consumption. The energy-saving solution will be particularly suitable for businesses, they said as they presented it on Monday.

MakTel once dominated the mobile market in North Macedonia, operating since 2001 as a joint venture between the state and Magyar Telekom, the Hungarian subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Its only competitor was the far smaller Cosmote network.

Telemach suing Telekom Slovenije for almost EUR 30m

Ljubljana – The telecommunications provider Telemach has filed a lawsuit at the Ljubljana District Court against telecoms incumbent Telekom Slovenije over alleged violations of regulatory decisions, demanding the payment of EUR 28.796 million in damages with default interest from 1 June until payment.

Telekom Slovenije reports EUR 21.3m in H1 net profit, up 44% y/y

Ljubljana – The group Telekom Slovenije generated EUR 317.6 million in sales revenue in the first half of the year, down 1% from the same period in 2020. Net profit was up by 44% to EUR 21.3 million, Telekom said on Thursday.
