Last summer was the hottest in Europe for the last 70 years. Scientists from the European Union's Earth observation program said that since keeping statistics, the period June-August 2021 is the warmest in their reports.

Istanbul’s weather to change permanently in future, warns academic
Istanbul's weather will dramatically change and residents will have to brave scorching heat in the summers, an Istanbul Technical University academic has warned.
"Istanbul will become very hot in the summers, making it unbearably hot for citizens, and floods will occur," Sevinç Asilhan told Demirören News Agency on April 22.

Around midday today, a strong wind hit the Indjija area and caused complete chaos and collapse. Police believes the tornado-like storm was not the cause of the crash.
The Novi Sad - Belgrade highway is currently closed in both directions at the Indjija loop, media reported.
Tornado in Romania Injured 12 People and Overturned a Bus
Several people were injured when a tornado barrelled through southern Romania, forcing a bus off the road and overturning it in a nearby field.
Twelve people on the bus were hurt and one passenger was treated for severe trauma, local reports said.
Drivers left their cars near Calarasi to stare at the rare tornado as it swirled through fields, picking up a tower of dust.
European weather site warns of torrential rains
Severe Weather Europe (SWE), a meteorological website specializing on Europe, issued a warning on Tuesday of "major torrential rainfall" and "large amount of Saharan dust" across many parts of the country through Wednesday and possibly even Thursday.

Greece experienced 107 tornadoes last year, data show
The Greek National Observatory's online weather service, Meteo.gr, recorded a total of 107 tornadoes in 2018, which is about average over the course of the past decade.
According to data from Meteo published on Friday, 99 of the tornadoes were at sea (waterspouts) and eight were on land, with three causing significant damage on the Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece and on Crete.
