Τhe frequency of Athens' trains will slow down for the summer holiday season starting July 10, according to Metro operator STASY.

Europeans are increasingly choosing to travel to destinations or periods of the year with less crowds, as they seek better services, new experiences and lower prices.
As a result, July and August are apparently showing fewer projected arrivals compared to last year in popular destinations in Greece, such as Mykonos and Santorini.

Bottlenecks formed at Athens entry points as voters return
Cars formed long lines on national roads around Attica on Sunday afternoon, as voters returned from voting centers outside the capital.
Traffic was particularly heavy on the Athens-Corinth national highway heading to Athens, particularly from the Corinth Canal to Nea Peramos.
Construction of new central intercity bus station at Eleonas given green light
The Environment and Energy Ministry has given the green light for the construction of a new central station for intercity buses in the Eleonas district of Athens. The project received approval after the environmental terms were approved.
Attiki Odos bid deadline extended until July 17
The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) on Friday announced the extension of the tender for the utilization of Attiki Odos, the ringroad around northern Athens which connects the Athens-Corinth and Athens-Thessaloniki highways with Athens International Airport.

Deadline for Attiki Odos offers extended to July 10
The deadline of binding offers for Attiki Odos, the capital's ringroad, has been extended to 5 p.m. on July 10, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) said on Tuesday.
The binding offers are part of the tender process for the award of a services concession agreement in relation to financing, operation, maintenance and utilization of Attiki Odos, TAIPED said.
Attiki Odos tolls to be reduced
The Attiki Odos highway tolls will be reduced with the new concession contract from 2.80 euros to €2.50.

The tender for the new concession contract for Attiki Odos is at serious risk of being completely derailed, both in terms of timetable and financial consideration, as conditions have changed drastically since the beginning of 2022, with the government requesting a reduction in toll charges.

Bus and trolley work stoppages on Wednesday
Bus and trolleybus workers will stage a new work stoppage for the third consecutive day on Wednesday, demanding safe and quality public transport.
The work stoppage will last from the start of the shift until 9 a.m. and from 9 p.m. until the end of the shift.
Buses will run normally on the routes assigned to the privately operated KTEL intercity buses.
