Blast on Russian-flagged ship leaves two injured near Volos
Two Russian nationals were seriously injured following an explosion on board a cargo ship docked at Amaliapoli near Volos, central Greece, on Saturday.
Initial reports suggested that the incident occurred on board the Russian-flagged Nakhodka following an explosion in a storage area at the ships prow.
Two arrested over debts to state
A 54-year-old businessman in Volos, central Greece, faced a prosecutor after being arrested on Friday for allegedly owing the state nearly 4.5 million euros in unpaid taxes. According to the police, the businessman allegedly owes the state 4,489,695.36 euros.

German in critical condition after hit-and-run
A 58-year-old German man was in critical condition after being hit by a car and abandoned while walking on the side of a road in Volos, central Greece, in the early hours of Saturday.
Police arrested the 25-year-old driver of the car shortly after.
