New regime to help Alpine destination reduce traffic
One of Slovenia's top tourist destinations, the Upper Sava Valley has been looking for ways to curb ever busier traffic. Some of its most popular landmarks face veritable gridlocks during summer, most notably the Vršič mountain pass and the Vrata Valley, where new traffic regimes will be put in place.

Minister sees Slovenia as geopolitical broker
Kranjska Gora – Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek offered up Slovenia as a broker in geopolitical issues as he addressed an annual ceremony dedicated to Russian prisoners of war who died building the Vršič pass.

Russian Chapel ceremony marks first Slovenia-Russia Friendship Day
Kranjska Gora – The annual ceremony in memory of Russian POWs who perished building the Vršič pass during the First World War will be held at the Russian Chapel below Vršič mountain pass on Saturday. The first Slovenia-Russia Friendship Day will be also celebrated on the occasion.
