Selakovic, Kamsvag on transfer of sentenced persons

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic conferred on Thursday with the Norwegian Ambassador in Belgrade Nils Ragnar Kamsvag on a new agreement between Serbia and Norway regulating the mutual transfer of sentenced persons.

Serbia and Norway are signatories to the European Convention on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons, and Selakovic and Kamsvag agreed that this matter should also be regulated by a bilateral agreement, Ministry of Justice stated in a release.

The two officials agreed that the expert groups tasked with drafting the agreement would be formed as soon as possible.

Minister Selakovic thanked the Norwegian ambassador for his country's valuable and lasting contribution to the strengthening of Serbian judicial system.

Ambassador Kamsvag underlined that Norway will continue to provide support to building up the rule of law in Serbia through various projects.
