Zimonjic, Nestor into Madrid Masters doubles' semis

MADRID – Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjich and Canada’s Daniel Nestor advanced to the Madrid Masters men’s doubles semifinals, after beating Austria's Alexander Peya and Brazil's Bruno Soares 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 Thursday.

The Serbian-Canadian duo took the first set after a tie-break. In the second, they mustered a 5-2 lead, losing the next two games and then breaking back to qualify for the semis.

Zimonjic and Nestor will next face Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah.

The total prize money for the tournament is EUR 4.62 million.
