Serbia beat Germany to secure World League finals berth

KRAGUJEVAC- Serbia beat Germany 14-8 (3-3, 4-2, 3-1, 4-2) in Kragujevac late Tuesday to secure a berth at the Water Polo World League final tournament.

Head coach Dejan Savic's men are sitting comfortably on top of Group B after winning all of their matches by beating Spain in Nis (9-1) and Madrid (15-9), Germany in Hamburg (19-10) and Russia in Astrakhan (17-8).

In the last, sixth round, Serbia will play Russia at home in Krusevac on April 14.

In the other Round 5 match, Russia beat Spain 9-8 (3-3, 4-3, 1-1, 1-1) at home.

Serbia are the defending World League champions, with the Olympic berth for this year's winner making the competition all the more important ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

The World League final tournament will be held on June 23-28 in Bergamo, Italy.
