FAS only major exporter in Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbia has no major exporter except Fiat Automobiles Serbia (FAS), surveys carried out by the Business Info Group show, noting that FAS is the only company whose exports exceed EUR 1 billion annually.

Serbia has no exporters in the category of EUR 400 million to 1 billion of export value, economic expert Zoran Jeremic said during the presentation of the survey carried out by the Business Info Group on most successful companies, which was presented in Tanjug's press centre in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation.

The Kragujevac-based FAS company realised EUR 1.36 billion worth of exports and EUR 929 million worth of imports in 2014.

The restructuring company HIP Petrohemija from Pancevo recorded exports worth EUR 148 million, while its imports totalled EUR 21 million. Yura Corporation from Raca ranks third on the list, with exports at EUR 119 million and imports at EUR 42 million.

RTB Invest ranks fourth, followed by Sojaprotein from Becej, while Hemofarm from Vrsac came out sixth with exports at EUR 149 million and imports at EUR 89 million. The seventh place on the list belongs to Yugoimport-SDPR with exports at EUR 67 million and imports at EUR 12 million.
