Tipsarevic starts with victory in Madrid qualifications

MADRID- Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic made a wining start at qualifications for the 2015 Mutua Madrid Open after beating Canadian Vasek Pospisil 6-2, 6-4 on Saturday.

Tipsarevic will next play the winner of the clash between Matteo Viola of Italy and Thanasi Kokkinakis of Australia.

Serbia's Viktor Troicki will also take part in the tournament, facing France's Gael Monfils in the first round.

The winner of the 2015 Mutua Madrid Open will earn EUR 4.185.405. This year's defending champion is Rafael Nadal.
