PFG with Romania receives Romanian ambassador

BELGRADE - At the first protocol meeting of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Romania and the Romanian ambassador to Serbia, the current level of cooperation between the two countries was assessed as high but always offering room for establishing stronger connections.

PFG President Miletic Mihajlovic welcomed Romanian Ambassador Oana-Cristina Popa Tuesday and informed her that the PFG currently has 21 members.

He also thanked Popa for the support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.

Economic cooperation of Serbia and Romania is worth an annual 1.3 bln euros, which is an excellent figure, but I am sure we can improve the economic relations even further, said Mihajlovic.

Romania's position on the issue of Kosovo-Metohija will remain unchanged and we will continue to support Serbia on the EU path, said Popa.
