Serbian central bank, IMF start talks on 8th review of SBA

Official discussions between representatives of Serbia and an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission have started with a plenary meeting.

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS), at whose premises the meeting was held, announced this on Monday.

According to a statement, the Serbian Delegation was headed by the NBS Governor and Serbia's representative to the IMF Jorgovanka Tabakovic, and also included Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic and his associates.

The IMF mission headed, by James Roaf, "will stay in Belgrade from October 26 to November 7 for the eighth review under the stand-by arrangement with the Republic of Serbia," the central bank said.

The NBS recalled that the implementation of the three-year stand-by arrangement concluded in February 2015 has been on track, "with good macroeconomic results within the agreed economic program."
