Scott: 2018 to be critical if EC reports are taken seriously

BELGRADE - US Ambassador to Belgrade Kyle Scott said on Friday 2018 would be a critical year for Serbia's progress towards the EU, noting the decision not to go to presidential elections was a positive step as it gave more space for the parliament "to take the actions it needs to over the coming months."

Speaking to reporters at a reception hosted by the Serbian MFA, Scott said the EU "has made it very clear, I think, that they are committed to countries in the Western Balkans joining, that they see this period up to 2025 to be critical."
