Orlic meets with Georgia's Papuashvili

TBILISI - Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic met with Georgian counterpart Shalva Papuashvili on Monday during an official visit to Tbilisi.

The parties confirmed mutual support concerning their countries' European integration, as well as readiness for intensive cooperation and experience-sharing.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Georgian parliament's committee on European integration and the president of a Georgia-Serbia friendship group in the legislature.

The parties confirmed the good and traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Georgia, based on historical, cultural and religious ties between the two peoples, as well as on the principled position of mutual respect of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two states, the Serbian parliament said in a statement.
