Grenell: Kirby was wrong about Serbian troop numbers, there was no buildup

WASHINGTON - Former US envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Richard Grenell said on Tuesday US National Security Council official John Kirby had not used "the most up to date information" about the number of Serbian troops at the administrative line between central Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija and erroneously stated there was a buildup of forces when, in fact, there was a drawdown.

"Career Foreign Service Officer at the State Department tells me: 'Kirby didn't use the most up to date information' about Serbian troop numbers at the border when he erroneously said there was a force 'buildup' when it was a 'drawdown,'" Grenell wrote in a post on the social media network X, formerly known as Twitter.
