Djokovic beats Sinner to win record seventh career ATP Finals title

TURIN - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, has claimed a record seventh career ATP Finals title by defeating Italian Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-3 in the final on Sunday evening.

Djokovic, who won after an hour and 44 minutes of play, is now 4-1 head-to-head against Sinner.

He previously lost to Sinner in the group stage of the tournament.

The Serbian has now overtaken Switzerland's Roger Federer in the number of ATP Finals won - Federer has six and Ivan Lendl and Pete Sampras each have five.

Djokovic also lifted his 98th career trophy and his seventh this season and began his 400th week at the top of the ATP rankings on Monday.
