Belgrade's delegation meets with Lajcak in Brussels

BRUSSELS - Belgrade's delegation, headed by the director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic and also comprised of financial experts, met with the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak in Brussels on Thursday morning.

The meeting began shortly before 10 am, a Tanjug reporter said.

Pristina's decision to ban the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija was expected to be the main topic of the meeting.

"We are going there (to Brussels) in the hope of finding a solution for the dinar, although I am not optimistic, given Pristina's lack of readiness to seek solutions through compromise," Petkovic, who is Belgrade's chief negotiator in the dialogue, said on Tuesday.
