Mayor promises "two 20-storey residential towers"

CANNES -- The construction of two 20-storey, 68,000 sq m residential towers will start in the summer, Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has announced in Cannes, France.

The towers should be built as part of Belgrade Waterfront - a project criticized by the opposition and also some experts.

Mayor to attend Belgrade Waterfront presentation in France

BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali will attend the international real estate fair in Cannes, France, which will feature a presentation of the Belgrade Waterfront project, the Belgrade city administration said in a statement on Tuesday.

The mayor will begin a two-day visit to France on Wednesday and attend the 26th Cannes real estate fair.

Documentary urges return of the Parthenon Marbles (video)

Film director Nafsika Guerry-Karamaounas is directing a film on the Parthenon Sculptures with the aid of the Swiss Committee for the Reunification of the Parthenon Marbles. The short documentary is aimed at increasing awareness of the issue and persuading political decision makers of the importance that sculptures are returned.

FEST to Champion Serbian Movies

The 43rd annual Belgrade international film festival, FEST 2015, which starts on February 27 and ends on March 8, will feature 90 Serbian premieres, including "Birdman", Alejandro González Iñárritu's film which has received nine Oscar nominations, and Woody Allen's "Magic in the Moonlight".

Nenad Dukic new president of FEDEORA

BELGRADE- Serbian film critic Nenad Dukic has been elected president of the Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean (FEDEORA), Digimedia PR Aleksandar Pavlic said on Friday.

The London-based FEDEORA was established four years ago, and brings together over 70 film critics from European and Mediterranean countries.
