Two late goals condemn the Reds to loss at Juventus
Gonzalo Higuain came off the bench to open the scoring for Juventus and Mario Mandzukic added a second as the Italian champion beat Olympiakos 2-0 in Turin in their Champions League Group D clash on Wednesday.
Juve beat Olympiakos (2-0) in Champions League match
Despite a courageous effort, Greek champions Olympiakos were unable to keep a clean sheet, conceding two goals in the second half (Higuain 69’, Mandzukic 80’) too Juventus in Turin, Italy on Wednesday night for their Group D second match. The reds will travel to Spain to face Barcelona in the next match.
Juventus-Olympiakos 0-0 in Champions League (1st half)
Olympiakos are 0-0 at the end of the first half against Italian giants Juventus in Turin in their 2nd match Group D for the Champions League. The reds managed to keep a clean sheet after a solid defensive performance, while they had their moments with a couple counterattacks that threatened Juve.
Olympiakos parts ways with manager Hasi
Olympiakos has informed manager Besnik Hasi he is no longer the coach of the Greek champion, following the dramatic 3-2 loss at AEK.
The Reds squandered a 2-0 lead conceding three goals in the last half-hour of the derby at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, and in the early hours of Monday the Olympiakos board decided it should move on with another manager.
