BELGRADE - Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) leader Istvan Pastor, who was attacked by Hungarian ultranationalists in Budapest two days ago, believes that the attack was motivated by his condemnation of the activities of the right-wing Sixty-Four Counties movement in Vojvodina.

NOVI SAD - Speaker of the Vojvodina Assembly and leader of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) Istvan Pastor was attacked in Budapest and the parties in Serbia and Hungary fiercely condemned the attack by Hungarian right-wing extremists, members of the Jobbik party.

Ring Ring festival to take place from May 15-28
BELGRADE - This year's international new music festival, 19th Ring Ring, will take place at several locations in Belgrade from May 15-28, the organizer has announced.
According to Bojan Djordjevic, the founder and director of the Ring Ring festival, the main characteristic of this year's festival is diversity in terms of genre.

Serbian kayak duo claim silver in Milan
MILAN - Simo Boltic and Vladimir Torubanov of Serbia have won the silver medal in K2 500 at the 2014 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Milan.
Boltic and Torubanov finished the Sunday race in 1:29.093, just 0.20 seconds behind Tibor Hufnagel and Gergely Boros of Hungary.
Portugal's Fernando Pimenta and Emanuel Silva took the bronze, completing the race in 1:29.153.

Gazprom, OMV Sign MoU on Austrian Section of South Stream Gas Pipeline
Russian Gazprom and Austrian OMV signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding to build the Austrian section of the South Stream gas pipeline.
The Memorandum was inked at the headquarters of OAO Gazprom at a working meeting between the Chairman of the Management Committee Alexey Miller and the OMV Chairman of the Executive Board, CEO Gerhard Roiss.

Construction of South Stream in Bulgaria Starts in May or June
The construction of the Bulgarian part of the South Stream pipeline will start in May or June in Varna, said Igor Elkin, executive director of the company South Stream Bulgaria.
