Man arrested for bomb at freemasons lodge in Athens charged with additional bomb attacks
A 61-year-old man arrested as the prime suspect behind several bombs planted outside the freemasons' Grand Lodge of Greece in central Athens has also been charged with additional bomb and arsonist attacks in and around the Greek capital, the Hellenic Police announced on Wednesday.
Explosive device goes off outside Alimos home
Police are investigating an attack with a homemade explosive device made of firecrackers and flammable liquid outside a home in the coastal suburb of Alimos south of Athens.
The explosion caused minor damage to the property and a car parked in the vicinity.
No injuries were reported.

Fire fighters with the Emergency Situations' Inspectorate (ISUBIF) in the past 24 hours intervened to 399 urgency situations, namely 323 SMURD (Emergency Mobile Resuscitation and Extrication Service) ones, 31 fires, 45 of other nature, a value over the daily average recorded in this period of the year, a release by the ISUBIF sent Wednesday to AGERPRES reads.

Almost a year after the country's last domestic terrorist strike, the Greek Police's counterterrorism unit was Tuesday investigating an attempted bomb attack against a prosecutor in the Athens neighborhood of Vyronas.
Six youths charged over racist attack in Oropos
Six men, aged between 18 and 23, were arrested on Friday in Oropos, north of Athens, on charges of violating the anti-racism law, arson, issuing threats, verbal assault and disturbing the public peace.
According to police, the suspects, all Greeks, had gathered outside the home of an Indian national in Oropos early on Thursday morning, throwing flares and setting off firecrackers.
