Djokovic beats Hurkacz at ATP Finals but needs Sinner win to qualify for semis
TURIN - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, defeated Pole Hubert Hurkacz 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 6-1 in an ATP Finals Green group third round match in Turin on Thursday but now needs a Jannik Sinner victory over Dane Holger Rune to qualify for the semi-finals.
Djokovic loses to Sinner, to face Hurkacz in bid for semi-final spot
TURIN - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, lost to Italian Jannik Sinner 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 in the second round of the ATP Finals Green group in Turin on Tuesday evening.
Sinner registered his first-ever win against Djokovic after over three hours of play and is now 1-3 head-to-head against the Serbian.
Djokovic against the "biggest threat"
From 9:00 p.m., Djokovic is expected to have a duel with the Italian Jannik Sinner, the fourth ranked tennis player in the world.
For the Italian, it is the best ranking on the ATP ranking in his career, and the 22-year-old has won four titles this year, for a total of ten.
At the opening of the tournament, Sinner defeated Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6:4, 6:4 in two sets.

TURIN - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was on Thursday drawn to play Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune in the Green group of the ATP Masters in Turin, the final Masters tournament of the season.
Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev are in the Red group.
The top two players from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

LONDON - Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Wimbledon semi-finals after defeating Russian Andrey Rublev 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 on Tuesday evening.
Djokovic, who won after two hours and 47 minutes of play, is now 4-1 head-to-head against Rublev.

Djokovic advanced to the Wimbledon quarterfinals by defeating Tim van Rijthoven 3-1 in straight sets.
