The Octave Day of Easter is marked by the Eastern Orthodox Church today, named Saint Thomas Sunday.

It commemorates the event of the Holy Apostle Thomas' touching the wounds of Christ.

BELGRADE - Serbia started celebrating Easter with midnight liturgies between Holy Saturday and Ressurection Sunday, and the Easter liturgy at the Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade, conducted by Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch Irinej, was attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
    

Christians mark Easter holiday

BELGRADE -- All Christian churches are marking Good Friday on April 18, commemorating the day that Christians believe Jesus Christ was crucified.

The day is considered a day of Christian mourning, and is the most significant during Holy Week.
