Romania's Anticorruption Chief Resigns
The head of Romania's National Agency for Integrity (ANI) Horia Georgescu resigned on accusations of abuse of office during his tenure at the Central Commission for Compensations.
Georgescu handed his resignation, which is going to be registered at the Cabinet of the Romanian Senate President later on Tuesday, AGERPRES news agency reports.

Romanian Prosecutors Detain Anticorruption Chief
The chief of Romania's National Integrity Agency (ANI) Horia Georgescu has been taken into custody by prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) on Monday.
Georgescu was transferred to the detention facility of Bucharest prison after having been heard at the DNA office, AGERPRES news agency reports.

Kovesi: I don't believe any politician dares to call me asking why I'm on a certain case
The chief-prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi said on Thursday night that there wasn't any pressure on her on behalf of any politician, because she doesn't speak to them and believes that there is no politician in Romania who would dare to call her and ask her about the criminal cases.

Deputy Oana Mizil was brought on Thursday on a warrant to the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) to be heard by the prosecutors.

Romania's Top Anti-Corruption Officials to Visit Bulgaria
Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva announced on Tuesday that Romania's top anti-corruption officials will visit Bulgaria in March at her invitation.
Horia Georgescu, the President of Romania's National Integrity Agency, which represents the country's anti-corruption body, will visit Bulgaria on March 24 and 25, daily Dnevnik reports.
Annual report of anticorruption prosecutors: over 300 million euros confiscated
