Gov't on defensive after losses

On the defensive after seeing the coalition's majority reduced again this week, government officials on Wednesday branded an attempted attack on the office of a coalition MP as part of a scheme to destabilize the administration but were silenced when the anarchist group Rouvikonas took responsibility for the incident. 

China-Greece cooperation could advance faster, better

Greece is a bridge between Europe and China, and China-Greece cooperation could develop much faster and to a greater extent, Greek Parliament Speaker Nikos Voutsis told Xinhua in a recent interview.

The Greek official made the remarks before departing for an official five-day visit to China starting on Monday.

Mitsotakis announces no-confidence motion over Athens-Skopje name deal

The leader of New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, announced on Thursday he will submit a no-confidence motion against the government over the Athens-Skopje name deal, after the parliament votes on the prior actions bill that will complete the fourth program review.
