In a fit of blind rage, Panathinaikos football hooligans attacked celebrity sports journalist Babis Christoglou from SPOR-FM. The journalist was attended a function at the Caravel hotel, however a mob of Panathinaikos supporters waited for him outside on the eve of the big Panathinaikos vs. Olympiacos basketball match taking place at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Thursday.
Basketball referee has his car torched
One of the country?s leading basketball referees had his car torched on Saturday, a few days before the start of the Greek basketball league finals, likely to be between champion Panathinaikos and challenger Olympiakos.
The car of Christos Panayiotou was set alight on Saturday night at his hometown of Patra, after its windscreen was smashed and a petrol bomb was thrown in.
