Bosnian Serb Parties Haggle Over Dodik's Successor

As Bosnia starts preparing for autumn general elections, only one candidate's name is known for now, that of Mladen Ivanic.

The current member of Bosnia's state presidency will be the candidate of the main opposition bloc in the country's mainly Serbian entity, Republika Srpska, the Alliance for Changes.

Bosnian Serb Inspectors Halt Delta's Huge Mall

The Republika Srpska Construction Inspection has banned Delta Real Estate, owned by Serbian businessman Miroslav Miskovic, from further construction of the huge "Delta Planet" shopping centre in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia's mainly Serbian entity, and ordered it to demolish two illegally built floors within two months.

Bosnian Serbs Adopt Resolution on Military Neutrality

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska has adopted a resolution proclaiming the entity's military neutrality at a session that opposition and ethnic minority MPs boycotted.

The resolution proclaims the neutrality of the Republika Srpska entity in relation to military alliances, and says the RS is committed to coordinating its future status with Serbia.

Vucic speaks with chairman of Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday in Belgrade received Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic.

Vucic and Ivanic - who represents Serbs in the tripartite body - "spoke about bilateral relations, political situation in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and the situation in the region," the government said on its website.

BiH ambassador tenders irrevocable resignation

NOVI SAD - Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) Ambassador to Serbia Ranko Skrbic told Tanjug on Wednesday that he has tendered an irrevocable resignation.

Skrbic said that he has forwarded a copy of the resignation to President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik, who proposed that he should be appointed to the office in line with the RS Constitution in 2013.
