Italian Noah’s Ark researcher buried in grave overlooking Mt Ararat
An Italian archaeologist, who spent 35 years searching for Noah's Ark in the eastern province of Ağrı, has been laid to rest in a cemetery viewing Mount Ağrı (Mount Ararat) as per his will.

Angelo Palego, who had a heart attack in Ağrı at the beginning of August, was taken to the state hospital in Erzurum, a neighboring province.

Local man stuffed nearly 1,000 animals in 61 years
Niyazi Savcı, a 93-year-old man in the northwestern province of Kırklareli, has been continuing his life-long taxidermy art for 61 years.
Known as "uncle birdman" in the province, Savcı has applied taxidermy to nearly a 1,000 dead birds and wild animals by stuffing them with a special process in order to keep them intact.

Turkey to reopen Mount Ağrı to climbers
Mount Ağrı in eastern Turkey, also known as Mount Ararat, will be reopened to climbers on Feb. 4, thanks to effective anti-terror operations.
The country's tallest mountain, dubbed the "roof of Turkey" with its height of 5,137 meters (16,853 feet), is located in the eastern border province of Igdir.
