Supreme Court reopens cases relating to self-proclaimed billionaire Sorras
Supreme Court prosecutor Xeni Dimitriou on Thursday ordered the reopening of all case files relating to the activities of Artemis Sorras, the self-proclaimed billionaire and leader of nationalist political grouping Convention of Greeks.
Most of the case files relate to calls by Sorras's organization for Greeks not to pay their dues to the state and social insurance funds.
Justice Ministry pledges additional 3 mln euros to improve prisons
The Justice Ministry on Thursday pledged to allot an additional 3 million euros by the end of the year for improving conditions at the country's prisons, which have been criticized by rights groups for failing to adhere to European standards.

The new Greek government was announced by spokesperson Olga Gerovasili, Friday at 10pm. Minister of Education Nikos Filis was left out of the new government, paying the price for his open disagreement with the head the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Athens Ieronymos.

Four injured as hooligans attack venue of Greek soccer league draw
About 30 helmeted hooligans attacked the Athens restaurant where the draw for the Greek second division football league took place resulting in four injuries and damages to facilities, parked cars and media equipment.
One news photographer was taken to hospital with cuts and bruises late Monday while three others were treated by ambulance crews.
