Turkish convoy attacked in Syria, three civilians killed: Defense ministry
Turkey "strongly" condemned an air strike on its military convoy heading through Syria's Idlib province on Aug. 19. Defense officials said that the attack was undertaken by the "regime forces" and was a violation of agreements with Russia.

Ancient olive seeds unearthed in Kilis
Archaeological excavations in Oylum Mound, one of the biggest of its kind in the southeastern Turkey, have unearthed olive seeds from 4,000 years ago. The seeds, found in Kilis along the Turkish-Syrian border, date back the time the Great Pyramids of Egypt were built.
