Mossad reportedly turned French spies into double agents after joint Syria Op

An internal report written by French intelligence, parts of which were published in the daily newspaper Le Monde on Sunday, reveal efforts by the Mossad to develop relationships with French spies, “to the point of crossing the line of turning them into double agents.”

Laptop ban hits Dubai for 1.1 mln weekend travelers

Dubai International Airport and its flag carrier Emirates began implementing a ban on laptops and tablets on direct flights to the U.S. on March 25, on one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.

Greece gets three bids for Thessaloniki Port

Greece has received three binding bids for a majority stake in its second-largest port in Thessaloniki, the country's privatizations agency said on Saturday.

Phillipines-based International Container Terminal Services (ICTS), Dubai-based P&O Steam Navigation Company (DP World) and German private equity firm Deutsche Invest Equity Partners submitted offers, it said.

AccorHotels, Rixos Hotels announce strategic partnership

France's AccorHotels and Turkey's Rixos Hotels signed a strategic partnership deal to expand mainly in the luxury segment, Reuters reported March 6. 

Under a long-term joint venture, both parties said they intended to collaborate, develop and manage Rixos-branded resorts and hotels around the world, according to statements from the companies. 

Machete-wielding attacker of Gezi protesters arrested in Istanbul over threat to Libyan businessman

A man who first hit headlines for attacking anti-government Gezi protesters in Istanbul in 2013 with a machete has been arrested for threatening a Libyan businessman, daily Habertürk has reported.

Police also arrested two other suspects along with Sabri Çelebi on the same charges on March 3.
