State Dep't confirms Pompeo's participation in energy trilateral

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will travel to Israel, Lebanon and Kuwait next week, including talks with Cypriot and Greek leaders in Jerusalem on energy security in the Mediterranean, the State Department said on Friday.
In Kuwait City, Pompeo will seek to strengthen cooperation on defense, cybersecurity and trade, spokesman Robert Palladino said in a statement.

Kuwait says in "state of war," warns of other militant cells

Kuwait?s interior minister said June 30 the country was at war with militants and would strike out at cells believed to be in the country. 

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militant group claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing on Friday by a Saudi citizen on a Shi?ite Muslim mosque in Kuwait City which killed 27 worshippers.
