Authorities Declare State of Emergency in Bulgaria's Mezdra Due to Rain, Floods
A state of emergency was declared at midnight in the northwestern Bulgarian town of Mezdra due to the torrential rainfalls and floods.
This was announced by the mayor of the municipality Nikolina Katovska, daily Dnevnik reports.
Bulgaria's PM Borisov Appoints More Deputy Ministers
Prime Minister Boyko Borisov appointed a total of fifteen ministers on Tuesday, the government's press office says.
Names have been proposed by ministers themselves, with Borisov having only the final say, under the coalition agreement he struck as leader of conservative GERB with the Reformist Bloc (RB) last week.
Power Distributor CEZ Wants Increased Share in Final Prices
Electricity distribution company CEZ has proposed that its share in the consumer price of electricity be raised to a level which would allow it to maintain the energy grid.
The company has called on the energy regulator to set prices in a fair and transparent way, with grid operators placed on equal footing.
Ledenika Brewery in Northwestern Bulgaria Restarts Production
The upgrade of the Ledenika brewery in the northwestern town of Mezdra has absorbed investments of BGN 25 M, according to Vladislav Tsvetkov, manager of the Ledenika 1964 company.
