Mytilineos lands another solar project in Australia

Athens-listed group Mytilineos stated on Wednesday that its Renewables and Storage Development (RSD) Business Unit has acquired another solar project in Queensland, consolidating its position in the Australian energy market.

The Greek company acquired the 110-megawatt Moura Solar Farm from ESCO Pacific, one of Australia's leading solar farm developers and operators.

DESFA lands LNG project in Kuwait

Greece's gas grid operator is making a dynamic entry into the international scene after landing a significant project in Kuwait.

The Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) has undertaken the operation and maintenance of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal under construction in the Gulf country, which is expected to start operating in 2021.

Energean gets extra year to explore Montenegro's offshore oil and gas blocks

Montenegro, which is hoping to find oil and gas reserves off its coast, said on Friday it has extended Energean Oil & Gas's licence by a year to explore two blocks as the Greek company required more time.

Montenegro awarded Energean a 30-year oil and gas exploration licence in 2017 for the blocks covering a combined 338 square kilometers in the Adriatic Sea's shallow waters.

GuestFlip develops platform where hoteliers can see reviews

Greek startup GuestFlip has developed a platform that allows hotel owners to monitor feedback from customers on more than 50 online sites, such as TripAdvisor and Booking.com, and even Instagram hashtags.
The platform will also provide feedback analysis and statistics, allowing hoteliers to zero in on their services that garner the most negative, or positive, comments.

Stevia Hellas Cooperative planning investments totaling 8 million euros

Stevia Hellas Cooperative, a Greek company producing products based on extracts of stevia plant, is planning to invest a total of 8 million euros for the creation of a unit to process stevia leaves and produce the final products, company CEO Christos Stamatis told US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt during the latter's brief visit at the cooperative's headquarters in Lamia last week.

Petropoulos and Kubota partner up

Athens-listed company Petros Petropoulos SA announced in a stock filing on Thursday that it has signed an agreement with Kubota Corporation based in Japan.

The cooperation between the two companies will result in the distribution of Kubota machines in Greece.

Petropoulos added that unit sales are expected to have a positive effect on the Greek company's results for 2018.
